Meaning:

This song is sung by 台灣四枝花 (literally translated as “The Four Flowers of Taiwan”), which was a girl group from the 1980-1990’s era. The members in this group are 陳家慧 (Chen Jia Hui), 林美滿 (Lin Mei Man), 林美瑛 (Lin Mei Ying), and 林秋燕 (Lin Qiu Yan). Mainly, 陳家慧 would sing the solos on most of the songs.
陳家慧, which is her real name, has used other names in releasing her other (solo) albums. She first was known as 方艾琳 (Fang Ai Ling), and then, she went with 陳家慧 (Chen Jia Hui). She later changed it to 高麗娟 (Gao Li Juan) when she released her “Mandarin versions of Hokkien Songs” album. Most people know her better as 高麗娟 rather than 陳家慧. In total, on many websites, 陳家慧 has had three others names: 方艾琳, 林萍 (Lin Ping), and 高麗娟.
